CREATOR'SMOD DEPOTPREPARING FOR LAUNCH

Creator Rights & Ownership

Creator ownership is central to our planned service. These are our public commitments; the binding Creator Agreement will be completed before uploads open.

Your original work stays yours

Uploading to Creator's Mod Depot will not itself transfer copyright or ownership of a creator's lawfully owned mod, artwork, description, or other original content to the site.

A limited permission to host

To operate the service, creators will grant a limited, non-exclusive permission to receive, store, inspect, display, and distribute authorized content. This is not a sale or assignment of copyright.

No upload or download fees

Our planned launch model charges neither creators for standard mod hosting nor visitors for standard mod downloads. We plan to support operating costs through advertising, subject to applicable publisher rules and privacy requirements. Paid creator rewards are not part of launch and are not promised.

Creator control with safety oversight

Creators will be able to manage listings, submit updates, view private statistics, and request removal. Every new and replacement mod file will require review. The website may restrict or remove unlawful, unsafe, infringing, or policy-violating content without gaining ownership of it.

Ownership transfer only by separate writing

Any voluntary transfer of ownership to the site would require a separate, express written agreement with the rightful owner. Uploading, updating, or appearing in a spotlight is not consent to transfer ownership.

Respect other creators

Anyone submitting a mod must own or have permission to distribute every included component, such as models, textures, sounds, scripts, and images. We will provide a way to report infringement and challenge mistakes.

Not a contract yet: This summary describes our intended protections. The final Creator Agreement, acceptance flow, copyright handling, and jurisdiction-specific legal terms will be in place before the first public upload.
